Match on:

Dortmund arrive to Leipzig in red hot form, can they keep the wins coming or will the Bulls clip their wings?

RB Leipzig v Borussia Dortmund – Red Bull Arena 18:30 CET

Team News:

RB will miss 1st choice goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi injured. Also out is Ouedraogo.

Dortmund misses key defender Schlotterback who only just returned. Missing too are Can, Mane and Sule.

Formations:

4-3-3 is the usual style for Red Bull under Ole Werner. Patient slow controlled football from the back with the defenders starting attacks.

3-4-2-1 for the majority of Bundesliga this season. High pressure to win the ball back and compact defence for the visiting side.

Statistics:

Referee: Benjamin Brand (Average cards 4.02 Yellow 0.19 Red)

Match Preview:

RB Leipzig sit in 5th place after a mixed run of results.  Just two wins in last seven games has seen them slip down the league and out of DFB Pokal. At home in the league, they have 7 wins from 11 games.

A 15-match unbeaten run for Dortmund in Bundesliga, a run stretching back to October and includes 11 wins and 4 draws.  Away form is good too with 6 wins from their 11 games with only Bayern Munich better on the road.

Betting Preview:

If Dortmund were not in the middle of a UCL playoff this would be a certain bet. With that distraction though we know they will have on eye on the 2nd leg at Atalanta. Take the draw here as the best option.
