A revitalised United team bid to make it 4 straight wins. Can Spurs put a dent in in the new found optimism?

Man Utd v Tottenham – Old Trafford 13:30 CET

Team News:

Man Utd are without midfielders Mason Mount and Patrick Dorgu plus defender Matthijs de Ligt. All three would be contenders to start.

Spurs have a lot of players out for this one. Maddison, Kulusevski, Kudus, Richarlison, Bentancur and Bergvall are out of the attack. Defence misses Porro and Davies, all key men. A few injury doubts too with Solanke, Romero, Van der Ven and Spence all not fully fit.

Formations:

United are expected to line up in their usual 4-2-3-1 under Carrick, who has largely settled on a consistent starting XI. As a result, in-form striker Šeško is likely to begin on the bench. The team’s approach centres on counter‑attacking play, breaking quickly once possession is won. They tend to perform better in matches where the opposition sees more of the ball.

Tottenham have a massive injury list so will likely plan formation around the men available. They have alternated over the last few weeks with 3-4-3, 3-4-2-1 and 4-2-3-1 all utilized.

Match Preview:

Confidence at Old Trafford is soaring, with supporters starting to genuinely believe in the team again. United have secured three impressive victories over Arsenal, Man City and Fulham. Spurs also come into the match unbeaten in four, including two Champions League wins and draws against Man City and Burnley. However, their extensive injury list is likely to hinder them here.

Betting Preview:

Spurs are drowning in injuries, and their medical wing is bursting at the seams.  Man Utd should make it four wins from four with a win today. Home win looks on the cards but both teams to score is a decent option. Both score and Man Utd win at high odds is a possibility.
